Halifax: Knowing you in stillness
In 2023 I completed this work for Queen Anne, one of Cunard's luxury cruise ships, through the curation and design team at Double Decker. It is an abstract painting inspired by the presence we can experience while traveling.
The selected pieces of writing featured in the painting are excerpts from one of Cunard's archived brochures stating:
"Remember this: No matter how fully you anticipate everything, your trip is bound to be more wonderful than you imagine."
"Your mind, when you travel, becomes like a sensitized plate, and you have clearer memories."
These are the messages I was contemplating while painting.
